Terms and Conditions:

As always, we will go above and beyond to keep everyone safe, healthy, and with happy bright faces!  Please carefully read the below terms and conditions before you confirm the booking with us.

Approved Products

The Imagine Face Painting Team only use water activated face paints.  These paints are hypoallergenic and include anti-bacterial properties which are specifically for use on the face and skin.

The face paints used have been designed for professional use and comply with all the FDA cosmetic regulations [As with any cosmetics, some people may develop sensitivity to one of the ingredients. Many children are allergic to a wide range of common products. We are not responsible for any such reactions..]

If you have any concerns regarding your child’s reaction to face paints or if your child is ALLERGIC to COCONUT OIL or RED DYE, please discuss with the Face Painter BEFORE your child is painted. We are more than willing to do a patch test 30 minutes in advance.

If your child has very sensitive skin and you would like to know the ingredients in the face paints we use,  feel free to contact us via email or by phone: infor@imagineparties.co.nz or 021 111 7791 (Rebecca).

Water is changed regularly during a booking and clean sponges used for each face. All equipment is thoroughly cleaned after each booking.

Booking Times, Payment and Arrangements

Once booking is confirmed, you will receive a formal confirmation (this will then form a contract between client and business).

Along with a confirmation, you will receive an invoice.  This invoice is to be paid in full prior to the event on the due date.  Payment confirms the booking.    If you require other payment arrangement (ie payment on 20th of the month)  we will have to be notified and made aware before the invoice is sent.   If payment is not made on the agreed date then a late payment fee of 10% will be added after 7 days and a new invoice will be sent with the updated amount.  Please see below our policy on cancellation.

If the artist is unavailable to work due to illness or other unforeseen circumstance the deposit and any paid balance will be refunded in full if a replacement face painter can not be arranged.

The artist may be able to work longer but this is the artist's decision. Please be aware the artist  may have additional bookings to go to.  Please let us know in advance if you know will be more children needing services and we can look at extending the time.  Please be aware, if artist is ok to work extra time over, that same hourly rate applies for extra time booked.    Minimum charge 1 hour for extra time booked.  Same rates apply - artist is not responsible for quoting for extra time. If you choose to send artist home before agreed finishing time, there will be no refund - this is the client's choice.  The artists will leave at time stated otherwise.

Additional artists can be arranged, please call to discuss your requirements.

Artist can paint around 8 - 10 quality full faces or 12-15 simple cheek/eye designs per hour. But please do not expect the artist to stay longer to accommodate more children than stated on the contract.

The artist will start working at the time stated and leave at time stated. A setting up period and packing away period will be allowed for by the artist.

The Client agrees to pay for any accidents or injuries caused by the client, clients’ guests and/or pets, and/or any damage to artist’s equipment or supplies caused by the client, clients’ guests and/or pets.

Cancellations

Cancelled engagements within 1 week prior to the party date will attract a fee of 50% of the total fee payable.  100% will be due if giving less then 24 hours notice.

Once a booking has been confirmed this will form the contract and this could be via Social media, email or text message.

This also relates to Corporate bookings  (Normal payments terms are to be made by receipt of invoice).

If client wishes to postpone the event,  there will be no extra cost as long as the artist is available to face paint on the changed date.

Parking

Please leave a space open as close to the site as possible, or in the driveway, so the face painter/artist can unload heavy equipment. Parking fees, if applicable, will be reflected in your price. Please inform The Imagine Face painting bookings manager at the time of booking if this is the case. For permit located areas, please arrange for a car parking space for the artist.

Requirements and Working Conditions

Our team come self-equipped with, brushes, paints etc.  We do have some artists that provide their own table and x2 chairs setup but some artist may require this from the client - we will notify you of this.  Please ensure there is suitable protective cover should the face painter be working outside (rain or sunshine). If arrangements (protection) against the elements are not made appropriately, then the Imagine Face painting artist reserves the right to cancel the booking arrangements and still will be liable for payment in full.

The Imagine Face painting team  have your children’s safety and interests in mind at all times and as a result we reserve the right not to paint under certain conditions – see below for examples as the list is not exhaustive:

The Imagine Face Painting artist will not paint anyone who is obviously unwell (runny nose/temperature/rash) or has any other visible skin complaint (eczema; chicken pox; acne; cold sore; open wounds; eye infections etc).

For the safety of others we will not paint anyone who, in the opinion of the face paint artist, appears to be suffering from:   Cold sores; Conjunctivitis; Rash or any infectious skin complaint; Sunburn; open wounds or similar.  We are always more than willing to do a small motif on the hand if such is the case.

The Imagine Face Painting artist will not paint anyone against their wishes (this may result in stopping painting before the final result if a child becomes uncomfortable or changes their mind). Please do not force your child to be painted if they really are uneasy or unwilling – face painting should be an enjoyable experience for both the child and parent.

If you are making a booking for a children’s party, please ensure all parents are aware in advance that a face painter will be on site, especially when parents/guardians are unlikely to be present.  It is the host’s responsibility to ensure that all parents/guardians have been informed and that any comments are relayed back to the face painter.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding our terms and conditions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
